We got a new puppy named Polly, not sure what kind but she is so cute! Doc went home I sure will miss him!

Happy and Bashful came to get fixed today, they have great homes! Doc will go home tomorrow, my babies are all gone now which is good but I miss them

My baby Curly, aka Benny, Jr., went home today. It was so hard to let him go. At first I denied the application; however her personal references said she dog sat for all the people in the office and the owners couldn't say enough good things about her. We put Doc up front and Mitzy in the back with Toto. They seem to be happy together.

Pookey was being a nut today! She was so happy I laughed till I cried. She also played with Mitzy and Doc. Curly went on a trip to a volunteer's house for the day; I know he had fun! A lady is coming tomorrow to meet him; we will see what happens.

Today was slow! Happy and Bashful will come back Tuesday to get fixed, I can't wait to see how big they have gotten. It should be a fun reunion!

Mitzy tested negative for heartworms! That means our little Mitzy will be in the New Dawn program.
The cats are doing great except for Pumpkin! She so unhappy, I wish there was something I could do for her,

Not much went on today! So, I organized the drawers. Someone said they would come back with their dog to meet Toto. We also learned Mitzy loves to play!

Bashful got adopted! It seems to be a good home. Cricket went to a foster home, which I think will be the best thing for her. We have a new kitten named Snow Shoe.

Bashful and a kitten got an application and we welcomed a new volunteer. I think she will fit in well with our little family. I got an email today in all caps yelling at me because I got a cat's breed wrong. I do apologize but I do make mistakes, I'm not perfect.

We said good bye to Coco today. It was so hard; we all cried likes babies! For me, it was personal. Coco looked and acted so much like my Snookie who has passed but still is missed! I have a foster home for Cricket, I pray she does better.

We got another dog today, a little female named Mitzy. I think she is cute with her monkey face. Pumpkin went and got a shot for a place on her face. The vet said she is healing really well from her hurt hip!

Coco got a home and will be picked up Friday! I feel really good about this home. Coco and I played chase and had a ball! We are trying to get Cricket and Pumpkin used to other cats, but we are not having much luck.

Coco, Toto, and Pookey all got haircuts today. Boy, are they all cute. Tiffany did a good job! I played baby with Curly today; boy, I enjoy spoiling him! Pookey is having trouble with the rain. She hates it

Ricky went home today. He seems to be happy, he even kissed his new Dad. A lady really liked Tommy but he had to show his bad side. However she wants to keep on visiting him in hopes he warms up. We can only pray!

Today was Friday the thirteenth for me. Everything I touched fell apart! But I do have some good news. Ricky found a home. It 's a mature couple with a lot of grandchildren that visit. I think he will be very happy!

Two new volunteers came today. Donna and Jeanette both seem willing to work and have a love for the animals. I'm still working on updating the website. Pookey had play time with Ricky during our meeting.

Not much happened today. Toto came back because he enjoyed chasing the cat at his new home. Pookey seems to feel better than she did Saturday. I'm trying to get pictures of our new animals on our web page.

We welcomed a new volunteer named Donna. I'm getting so close to Curly, he is such a doll.. I was playing chase with him and he slapped me with his paw.

Today was picture day! We got all the cats and new dogs pictures taken. Keep checking to see our new babies. Jeanette and Michael took Myles and Coco to the concert in the park. They all had a ball.

We welcomed two new human volunteer members to the New Dawn family, Tommy and Charlie... Pookey is doing great and got a bath today. I made friends with Coco, what a cool dog.

Thank you all for making the pancake breakfast a success. Nila, went home today. I almost cried; she sure waited a long time for a home. Pookey is doing wonderful and spent the day helping me. What a neat girl she is!

Grumpy went home. We received two Schnauzer mixes, Curly and Coco; both are little dolls. Curly is very young and I have a bad habit of treating him like a baby. He loves it of course but I need to learn not to get so attached because it is bittersweet when they leave.

Sleepy went home today. The new owner really loves him, which made us at A New Dawn happy! Grumpy received an application along with Nila our kitty.

Puppies all got a bath today and are on the mend! We are trying to get Cricket and Cookie used to their new home. It is going to take time!

Puppies are sick but are on the mend thanks to Dr. Hunter. We decided to let the puppies get adopted. However, $75 will be required along with a signed contract agreeing to bring them back to get fixed at the appropriate time.

We received an update about Benny. He is doing well and is potty trained already. Pepe received an application and will go home if he gets along with the other dog. I took pictures of our cats and puppies and will have them up in the next two days!

Cleaning is how we spent the day! Puppies are cute. Six are a handful but they are fun! Pookey made friends with Pepe today which was cute to see them play...If you are a New Dawn volunteer and can help with morning clean-up please call Ellen!

We have been invaded by puppies! They are so cute, I all ready love all six of them. I just dread the thought of saying good bye six times. I guess that is my fault for getting too involved. Oh well, that makes me the person I am. Pookey spent the day with me in the office. She is such a great dog, I'm glad we can be there for her.
