I haven't updated my status due to the weather being so bad and things have been slow! SJ got adopted ( and is doing well in his new home) which made Scruffy a sad little boy! The Baby is starting to eat solid food and I'm putting the volunteers into our computer system. That is what is going on for now at A New Dawn.

My little baby is growing up too fast! His little teeth are coming in and he's trying to learn about the world around him. It is so cute. Tomorrow is picture day with Valerie and like always it should be fun

Freckles got adopted today. Three people came in to look at Oreo but no applications yet. Belle is growing bigger and stronger everyday. We welcome another Carol into our volunteer family, I think she will fit in well!

Nothing much went on today. Just did some shelter business, played with Rocket, Bell, Oreo and the Yorkies. Pookie of course was a big part of playtime.

Just played with my fuzzy friends today. Scruffy and SJ continue to play. Scruffy will get to go to Petsmart Saturday.

It was a hard day today with the rain; the dogs refused to go out. I think they are spoiled here at A New Dawn. I had to take Pookey out on a leash. Of course, she loved it.

The interview went well today; I was very happy it went so well! SJ and Scruffy played together and wore each other out. The puppy is now hearing and coming to the fence when I go back there. Rocket is doing good and should be well in about ten days.

Not much happened today. SJ and Scruffy played outside and we got a new volunteer. Tomorrow will be rough; the paper is going to interview us and then Rocket will got to the vet. It was a slow but nice day.

Pookey got a bath today, which she didn't like at all. The baby tried to run today, but fell on her nose. She is so cute! Jewel aka Megan came to visit us. She is so big now and happy. It did my heart good to see that. We had a kitten get adopted, but no luck for Bubba and Sissy. Oh well, they are happy with us and we love them.

We have names for everyone now, Rocket ( not Valatine), Pepper and Belle. Belle the puppy was so cute today; she was on her back sound asleep. Our little kitten seems to be getting better everyday and we have five kittens going Sunday. Pumpkin and Freckles will come home. We got two new volunteer applications.

Today was a busy day. I spent most of it in the back working with the new dogs. The baby is so cute, she can't walk very well yet. She is just now discovering her paws and it is so cute. Krista gave Valatin a bath which he needed in the worst way. Thank you Krista! We found out Tuesday the paper is going to do a story on us.

Today we welcomed a little white shaggy dog named Valatin and a mommy dog with her one month old puppy. I had a young puppy here before and it was so hard to let him go. I can't believe I did it again! The Yorkies look great. Sissy has little pink bows in her hair and Bubba is so fresh looking. Thank you Cathy at Ultimate Pet Spa.

Today was slow! We got some of the food organized, which makes things look better. Bubba and Sissy were groomed for their big day Saturday at Petsmart. Prancer went for his neutering. We received several donations of basic needs which was wonderful.

Today was a fun day! I played ball with Scruffy and another volunteer walked Pookie. I also played with Bubba and Sissy they are so cute, I wish they could find a forever home. Oreo is doing great with his heartworm treatment, he is such a great dog. Our little Cinderella found her forever home. On a sad note, we lost two volunteers. We will miss them a lot.

Pookie and Cinderella got together today. Poor Pookie was so scared of the cat, one had to laugh. Cindrella got an application that looks good. SJ had a nice day at Petsmart!

SJ and Scruffy are friends! Oreo came home and is very happy to be here. Our little kitty has a cat cold. Prancer is scheduled to be neutered Wednesday. Pookie continues to be a happy girl.

Today was clean the shelter day. All the rooms got scrubbed down, toys cleaned, and all new beds. Tomorrow we will be back at the Vet with a kitten. Hopefully, all the cleaning will help. Oreo had to stay another day but will come home tomorrow. Poor little guy!

Trying to go digital at A New Dawn is not easy but I'm on my way! I have to brag, the printer even started working. Lotto went home. SJ came home from being neutered with no problems. Oreo is due home tomorrow after his first heartworm treatment. I saw the little guy today and it broke my heart. He saw me and thought it was time to come home. I wanted to cry, I'm such a sucker for big dark eyes!

Bubba and Sissy had a serious looker today. I think she would make a awesome home for them. Sj got a bath and Pookie continues to be spoiled by me.

Today was picture day! SJ and Connor had a great session. We still don't know if our three babies are going home. I wish people would just let us know.

We sat in the vet's office today; SJ, Bubba and Sissy all have colds. Cookie and Maggie have approved applications. Scruffy has an app however I'm not sure it will go through.

Happy New Year to all! What a year it has been. Between my health problems and things just falling apart during the year, 2011 will not be over soon enough! To those who have stuck with me, thank you. I hope you can share in the positive outlook of the new year. It's hard to believe that January 5, will be A New Dawn's third year in business. I could not have done it without you!

Kind of slow today. I took down the Christmas decorations and did some paper work. I also played with Maggie, Sj and Pookey. I'm pretty lucky to have this job.
