HAPPY TAILS

Did you adopt your new fuzzy friend from A New Dawn Pet Adoption Center? If so, please e-mail us with your story. We would like to share them with our website guests!

Paco loves my husband! From the moment he came home from a week out of town. Paco naps with him and gives him kisses every chance he gets. It's so sweet!!

Well we've had Fozzy for a week now and he's settling in quite nicely.  Our other cat is slowing adjusting to his presence.  Still not buddies, but I'm sure that will happen soon.  Fozzy is a lover.  He just wants to be around people.  Anyone can hold him and he seems just fine with it. He's slowly starting to explore and become more playful.  We are very happy that we found him and just wanted to send you a picture of him 'chillin'.  We were eating and he knew he couldn't be on the table, so he choose the window instead, just close enough!

Thanks again for saving him for us!

Just wanted you to know that everything is going well with Smitty.  He is a perfect fit into our family.  He is a very good dog and listens well.  I have had him off the leash in front of the house.  He walks to the nearby neighbor's lawns and returns.  He and our other dog, Hershey,  get along like they have known each other for years.
No problems in the house.  He lets us know when he needs to go out.

It's been a year since we got Juliet.  She has been a lovely dog and always so friendly.  The only way I can get her to growl is to hold onto her tail.  The sound she makes is absolutely hilarious and can make anyone laugh out loud....except her, of course. Juliet sleeps with me every night. She jumps on the bed and worms her way underneath the blankets and goes toward the middle of the bed. She is definitely a cuddler. About six months ago we got a puppy from the Pasadena animal shelter. He is absolutely adorable though and gives Juliet a run for her money. His name is Romeo....of course. I've included some pictures of Juliet (pug/chi mix) and Romeo. They are both doing very well and are a joy to have in my life.

Dawn,

I just want to tell you how much we love our little Zoe! You called her Rizzo. She is a bundle of energy and keeps our 1-year old daschund, Tootie Patootie, running all day long. Tootie loves the companionship, and the two are hitting it off magnificently. Zoe was not shy the minute she arrived at our home - she ran around the yard, followed Tootie and Victoria everywhere, and caught onto their tricks immediately. She is certainly a smart little cookie. She makes us laugh, and every time we look at her, we remark how adorable looking she is.

I can't thank you enough for bringing her into our lives........Donna Reed, Zoe's mom!

He is doing so well. He is almost completely house trained. Yesterday he only went once in the house and that was because Candi was confused why he was standing at the door. :) Here is a picture for you, and as you can tell he is already very spoiled. He loves the backyard and uses it as a race track at times. I am taking most of this week off to hang out with him but his pet sitter starts next Tuesday and will come over and play with him twice during the day.

I will try and get a video of him running around the backyard as it will make you laugh......Candi.

Cricket is doing very well in her new home. We call her Boo and we love having her here. She has made lots of progress this week. She goes up and down the stairs on her own now and she is getting more comfortable with the house and with our other dog, Bailey. She loves greeting visitors by standing on her hind legs, reaching her front paws into the air, and dancing around in circles. She seems very happy to be here. Boo and I would like to thank you for allowing us to find each other! Keep up the great work you do!......Thanks again, Lauren

Artie is doing great! We love him. The only problem we had was trying to figure out what food he liked to eat. Thanks, Tara

 Dear “Mom”,
I am writing this letter to tell you how happy I am at my new home! When my new family picked me up, we went to the dog park right away and it was awesome running and playing in the grass with my new friends. After that we went to this cool store just for pets like me, and I met an Airedale puppy and Golden Retriever puppy.  We all were trying on new collars.  My new “brother” Evan picked out a cool blue collar with footballs and bones on it. I love it!I love riding in the car. I sit on the seat beside Evan and Savannah (my new dog brother) and have really good manners so my new mommy can drive.
You should see my house!  I have a giant Teddy bear to sleep with, rawhide bones to chew and really good dog food made by Rachel Ray.  You would be so proud of me because I got “potty” outside like a big boy or on the newspaper in the bathroom.  The best part is that I get to go on lots of walks, get lots of hugs and kisses and play with all my friends in the neighborhood.  We had a big play day yesterday, and I chased and ran with a Rottweiler, Dachshund and Corgi.
Thank you again for giving me such a great start at A New Dawn.  I will never forget you and promise to come see you as often as I can!
Love always,
Casey  “The Poodle”   Woof!  Woof!
